Solar battery chargers
Solar
battery chargers are innovative, efficient, and useful, but they
are also sometimes expensive. Because of this, it makes sense to buy
and use chargers that will do more than just charge
your batteries. This does not mean that you have to spend more money.
In fact, the contrary is often true. What you need to do is buy a different
type of solar product that can also be used to charge batteries.
Take a solar
flashlight, for instance. In addition to being a useful light
source, especially in case of emergency, it can be used to charge batteries.
Just put your batteries inside it, put the flashlight
out in the sun, and the sun will take care of the rest. Keep in mind,
however, that it can only charge one type of battery – usually
either AA
solar battery charger or AAA. Also, it is important to make sure
that the battery can be removed (some solar devices feature an internal
battery that is not removable).
Such a solar
battery charger is, however, most useful only to those that use
only one type of battery and/or people that simply want a charger for
emergency application.
If, however, you have a weekly or daily need for charged batteries,
it is often worth it to take the opposite route and browse through solar
powered battery chargers that may be a bit more expensive, but are
also a bit more useful – in fact, by getting a charger that can
charge all of your batteries and PDAs, you can save money. Think of
how much it would cost to purchase one charger
for your cell phone, one for your laptop, one for your mp3 player,
another for AA and AAA batteries, another for C and D batteries, etc.
Why not get one that can do it all?
